Banana Sunflower Mini Waffles

Banana Sunflower Mini Waffles

This recipe is inspired by pancakes my grandmother used to make for us when we were kids. The combination of flavors is delicious, and the sunflower seeds add texture and crunch to the waffles. If you don’t have a mini waffle iron, you can use a standard waffle iron.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix the Keto Chow, coconut flour, and baking powder in a medium mixing bowl and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, then whisk in the butter and milk.
  • Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. The mixture will be slightly thick.
  • Fold in the sunflower seeds.
  • For best results, allow batter to sit for at least five minutes while you heat your waffle iron.
  • When your waffle iron is hot, add about a heaping tablespoon of batter and cook according to the manufacturer's directions. Waffles should be golden and fluffy when fully cooked.
  • Continue cooking until you have baked all the waffles.

Notes

*If you use a standard waffle iron, this recipe would yield about four waffles.

Equipment

  • 12 cup mini muffin tin and 12 mini paper or silicone cup liners

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Line the mini muffin cups with the liners.
  • Stem the strawberries and, starting from the stemmed end, cut the largest part of the berries into three round slices. You may have some smaller pieces left over.
  • Place the chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of the heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl; microwave in 30-second bursts until the cream is hot and the chocolate chips are almost completely melted. Stir the mixture until it’s smooth and set aside to cool. Do not overheat or the cream will curdle.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt with the remaining 1/4 cup heavy cream, Keto Chow, and erythritol. Whisk or whip until light and fluffy.
  • Spoon or pipe the yogurt mixture into the bottom 3/4 of each muffin cup and top each cup with a slice of strawberry and press down to level.
  • Top each strawberry slice with a spoonful of the chocolate mixture then sprinkle over a bit of the chopped nuts.
  • Freeze the bites for at least 2 hours until solid enough to remove from the liners.
  • Store the frozen yogurt bites in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.

?Keto Chow Flavor of the week: Get 10% off Banana Keto Chow bulk packs Oct 12-18

Until Oct 12, you can get 10% off the 21 meal “week” size of the Banana. Normally, the Banana is $70 for 21 meals, this week it’s discounted down to $63.00 – that’s only $3.00 a meal! We sometimes get asked: “what can I do with Keto Chow besides make shakes?” The best place to start is our Keto Chow Recipes page, here are some of the recipes that use Banana Keto Chow:

You should check out the reviews of Keto Chow, we also get a lot of reviews on our Facebook page and on the Keto Chow subreddit. It should be noted that we publish all of the reviews that come in – bad or good – as they are, typos intact. The only ones we remove are spam posts or reviews that divulge personal information. These are just a few of the 170 real reviews we received in the last week

JUST TRY IT

I was skeptical, given how awful most protein shakes still taste, even in 2020; however, Keto Chow is legit. I don’t like the vanilla, and the strawberry and chocolate are just OK, but the gourmet/exotic flavors are all really delicious. It feels more like a decadent treat/milkshake than nutrition, but I think that’s the point. Anyway, I’m a happy enthusiast now, so give it a shot and make sure you use the blender bottle, HWC, and enough water for it to taste right.

GC
Still the best

Other big brands are finally jumping on the Keto bandwagon. I’ve tried the Slim-Fast and others and they aren’t as tasty and lack the complete nutrition.

I have have been on Keto Chow before the subscription system and this is a great addition. It’s cheaper than Amazon especially with the new rewards points.

Keto Chow is still hands down the best.
My favorite flavors are snickerdoodle & chocolate. I tried strawberry & banana so I could make a variety of flavor mixes but for my palette (which is admittedly terrible) the flavors did not come through. So I’m going back to my old stand-by but I encourage you to try! I might be brave and try some hot flavors next!

Jonathan M.
Amazing

Love all these flavors except vanilla, (just personal preference not bad) for years i haven’t eaten breakfast for years now because never have time and always made me feel sick but since doing keto these are my go to every morning make it up in the night grab it in the morning and take it with me. They are filling and work great already placed a big order to get thru the month

Jason A.
So glad I found this

Keto chow has been so helpful in getting me started on this journey. The sample pack with the blender bottle made it easy. All of the flavors have been very good, with the exception of vanilla. Sorry, y’all, that one was a miss for me. Ordering samples of other flavors and a big bag of chocolate and salted caramel now!

Jennifer E.
We love the shakes!

My hubby and I love the shakes. I am hoping to try more recipes soon, as well.

Charlotte M.
Yummy!

This is the fourth time I’ve ordered from keto chow. I love all the flavors I’ve tried and Snickerdoodle is definitely delicious. You’re my exclusive meal supplement supplier since my first order. I will definitely be ordering again.

Kari
Even better than expected!

If I am honest most keto substitutes are not as good as the non keto versions. That is NOT the case with KetoChow! I could honestly say that I would drink these even if I wasnt doing a keto diet. So far my favorites are the pumpkin spice, salted caramel, and chocolate toffee. I have read alot about putting them in the fridge for a few hours or overnight, but I really enjoy them right after making them. There is a little salty/sweet thing going on.

A+

Bernadette S.
Definitely a win

I first ordered the starter pack and some extra samples. Some were very good, others not so much. You have to find the flavors that are right for you! My husband LOVES the eggnog. We ordered bulk bags of chocolate, strawberry, and cookies and cream. I drink one shake mid morning and I’m good til dinner. They make me feel pretty energized too. We will be using these from now on ??

Ashley D.
Absolutely the best meal shake!

I have tried the whole sample package and I was happy to drink all of the flavors. I have recommended them to all my friends. I started drinking them 2x a week as a supplemental meal on busy days. I now drink them EVERY morning because for keto they taste way better than boring ol’ eggs…again.?

Elizabeth M.
Pleasantly surprised

So I’ve been using other keto meal replacement shakes and they were not that great. I ordered these because I saw one of the commercials and thought hey a starter pack couldn’t hurt. These shakes are pretty awesome! My favorites are definitely the strawberry, chocolate, and cookies and cream. They legit taste like a milkshake and curb and cravings I have. Definitely recommend!

Caley C.
The best gift for friend!!

I have been using Keto chow and I love it!! I decided to make a gift to my friend! She loves it as much as I do❤??. Great gift idea!?

Monika S.
KETO CHOW REVIEW

I liked it so much I bought the big bags of pumpkin spice and chocolate peanut butter and the essential minerals! I am a huge fan of Dr Berry, Neisha, and the two krazy ketos! This is one month for me with the keto carnivore lifestyle and I have lost 40lbs! Since I am recovering from leukemia it has helped me with energy and better immune system function. You are all good people and I hope I can continue to buy your products as I am on a fixed income. Thanks!

Bird of Paradise Cake

Bird of Paradise Cake

This cake is inspired by the classic Hummingbird Cake. Since it has delicious flavor of bananas and pineapple without the sugar, I'm calling it Bird of Paradise Cake. It gets its delicious sunny flavors from Banana Keto Chow, pineapple extract, and shredded coconut.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prepare the cake pans by greasing them well and lining the bottom of the pans with 9" rounds of parchment paper. Lightly oil the parchment paper, too.
  • Toast the coconut and pecans on an ungreased cookie sheet or cake pan in the middle rack of the oven. Stir them occasionally while they toast and remove them from the oven when they smell fragrant and the coconut is beginning to look golden brown. It should take about five to ten minutes. Set them aside to cool while you make the cake.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine Banana Keto Chow, almond flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Whisk together.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, coconut milk, sweetener, avocado oil, vanilla extract, and pineapple extract. Whisk until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Then gently fold in the coconut and pecans.
  • Divide the cake batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
  • Spread it and smooth it evenly.
  • Place in the middle rack of the preheated oven to bake.
  • The cakes are done when they spring back when gently touched in the center and a skewer comes out clean. It should take about 20-25 minutes.
  • Set on a rack to cool. When the cakes have cooled for about 10 minutes, gently remove them from the cake pans and carefully remove the parchment paper. Set them on the rack to cool completely.
  • When they are cool, frost them with the Banana, Pineapple, Sour Cream Icing.
