Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325
  • Butter a small (about 6 ounce) oven proof ramekin or bowl
  • In a small bowl mix the peanut butter, unsalted butter, and confectioner’s sweetener together and set aside
  • In another bowl beat the egg, then mix in the melted butter, and vanilla extract
  • Add the keto chow, sweetener, cocoa powder and baking powder
  • Mix everything together until you have a smooth batter
  • Place about two-thirds of the batter in your prepared ramekin then put the peanut butter mixture in the center of the batter and press it down lightly. Push the square of chocolate chips into the center of the peanut butter.
  • Pour the rest of the batter over the peanut butter and smooth over so that the top is even and the peanut butter is completely covered.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. The cake should be firm and slightly risen around the edges but still slightly soft in the center.
  • Allow the cake to cool for about five minutes. Gently pull it away from the edges of the ramekin. Top the ramekin with a small plate and turn it over gently shaking it if necessary, to release the cake.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of confectioner’s sweetener and whipped cream if desired.

Equipment

  • éclair/ lady finger cake molds*; piping bags; large, round piping tip; decorative piping tip

Ingredients

Cake:

Filling:

Glaze:

Instructions

  • Oil the cake molds and preheat the oven to 325℉. Attach a round tip to the piping bag or use a plastic Ziploc bag with a cut corner.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the Keto Chow, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  • Beat the egg whites in the work bowl of an electric mixer with the whip attachment until they begin to look frothy. With the mixer at medium speed, add the cream of tartar and sprinkle 1/4 cup of the powdered erythritol over the egg whites. Beat until the egg whites look glossy and hold stiff peaks.
  • Transfer the beaten egg whites to another bowl and place the egg yolks in the work bowl. (No need to wash the bowl yet.) Beat the egg yolks with the remaining 1/4 cup powdered erythritol until they have doubled in volume, which should take about five minutes. They should look satiny and be light yellow in color.
  • Fold the avocado oil and vanilla extract into the egg yolks with a rubber spatula.
  • Fold the egg whites into the egg mixture in two portions.
  • Sprinkle the Keto Chow mixture over the eggs and fold in gently. The volume will decrease slightly.
  • Fill the piping bag with the batter and pipe into the prepared cake molds.
  • Bake the cakes for 15-20 minutes, or until they have risen, the surface looks dull, they spring back when touched, and a cake tester comes out clean.
  • Set the molds on a cooling rack. Turn the cakes out of the molds when they have cooled for about five minutes, then let cool completely.
  • To make the filling, beat together the peanut butter and softened butter until light and fluffy. Add the Keto Chow, erythritol, heavy cream, and vanilla extract and beat until combined and light.
  • Put the filling in a piping bag with a large star tip or ruffle tip, or in a Ziploc bag with a cut corner to create a piping bag.
  • Carefully slice the cooled cakes in half lengthwise.
  • Pipe filling on one half and place the other half on top, then place in the refrigerator to set. Reserve about 1/4 cup of the filling to decorate the cakes.
  • To make the glaze, sift the powdered erythritol and cocoa powder into a mixing bowl.
  • Add the vanilla extract and stir in the warm water a tsp. at a time until it reaches a thick, pourable consistency.
  • Spoon or pour the glaze over the top of each cake, smoothing it to the edges.
  • Allow the glaze to set slightly, then decorate the tops with the remaining peanut butter filling. They can also be decorated with crushed peanuts, shaved chocolate, or whipped cream.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or store frozen for up to three months.

Notes

NOTES: Higher elevation may impact your baking time; it took approximately 30 minutes of baking to get a clean toothpick
*You can use a mini cupcake tin instead if you do not have éclair molds.

I love my keto chow

I have Keto Chow every day for lunch. It’s nutrient-dense and keeps me full and makes keto easy for me. I buy the big bags mostly but wanted to try these flavors- I love them both

Sarah B.
OMG, I’m in LOVE

I tried the Lemon Meringue Pie flavor and right out of the gate I was blown away. Its not too tart not too sweet but the right amount of sweet if you’re are like me and have sweets cravings. Almost like a lemon pudding (I mixed mine with heavy cream) but a million times better. I really hope that they keep this as one of their staple flavors because I would definitely buy this one again.

I was not as fond of the pistachio to be honest. I felt the flavor could have been a little bit stronger. The flavor wasnt bad, it was just weak in my opinion (again I mixed it with heavy cream).

Becky C.
Awesome!!!!

Keto Chow is the reason why I’m able to lose weight. The chocolate is the best for me. I tried the bundle, which is a good idea, because I certainly have me favorites. The company is a pleasure to work with. Great stuff!!

Gloria J.
Still in shock!!!

I honestly was expecting a nasty chalky after taste! I have tried a lot of shakes but this by far has to be the best! Have tried 5 different flavors so far and still have not found one I did not like.Great product definitely a repeat customer.

Jason M.
Best keto solution EVER!

Absolutely love Keto Chow! The shakes are thick and delicious!! ?

Brenna M.
❤️ it

I’m just starting on my Keto journey when I ran across your ad. By all the great reviews I thought I would try it & I’m glad I did. Have placed another order for the limited edition & WOW are they great. Ordered more limited edition & when I get paid will be ordering a lot more! Can’t wait to try the other flavors. Please make the limited edition into the larger bag-please?

Catherine R.
I don’t give very good reviews often

I was extremely skeptical that these would both work and taste good. So, I am relatively new to the whole idea of intermittent fasting and OMaD (One Meal a Day) fasting. I use 4oz of heavy cream and 1tbsp of honey butter and after the first failed try (powder did not break up properly) I used my little blender to mix it and it was perfect. I felt full and satisfied. And after calculating, it doesn’t overlap with my calorie limit. I ordered a few extra flavors. So far I’ve been extremely happy with the flavors so far. Even the chocolate, and I hate chocolate. I have since added a few ounces of a probiotic cashew milk and its not changed the flavor much, if at all. I haven’t used the hot soups yet, but if the sweets are great. I’m sure I’ll be happy with them. I alternate between the shakes and normal meals. The smaller packets are easier for me than the larger bags because I like variety.

Tatyana G.
Keto Chow

I like the Lemon even though I usually do not like lemon, it was very tasty. However, I did not care for the Pistachio flavor. My most favorite flavors are Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Peanut Butter! But I love Keto Chow and will continue to use it daily. I am down 5 pounds in 4 days! YaY Keto Chow for the Win!

Anneke H.
WOW. I HOPE ALL FLAVORS TASTE THIS GOOD!!

I purchased the (sweet) sample bundle and a few other flavors. I plan on using them for when that sweet craving hits. I tried the pistachio so far and WOW, it is so delicious!! If you love pistachio pudding you will love this!! Looking forward to trying them all.

Dylan B.
Root Beer Float & Mocha

I like both of them very much. I think the Root Beef Float would benefit from a little more Root Beer flavor. As is, the flavor isn’t very intense. I have noticed that even though the there is sucralose in the mix, it isn’t causing any glycemic spick. Yeah!. I did also get a couple of the variety packs. The Pumpkin spice is marvelous.

Donna G.
New to the chow

I ordered keto chow since I’m am getting back into keto. I needed something that fit my schedule. First taste I was unsure since it was different and unexpected. I have enjoyed mocha very much, made with butter. Only suggestion I really have is drink slowly!! I had unexpected “surprise” since I drank them quickly – within 20 minutes. Since I slowed down, I haven’t had any surprises.
They are filling and tasty, looking forward to my new order.

Jennifer S.
So good

I have very quickly become a fan of KC. Their support network and customer service is amazing. Since finding these delicious shakes two weeks ago I have successfully started a keto lifestyle and they were significantly part of this transition. So many flavors to choose from, and they are incredible. You will not be disappointed. Sign up for their FB support group and find questions, answers, support and recipes (also on their website).

Amazing

I just went back and got some more, I love it! Goes great wild cold almond milk or you can warm it up and and some butter for something that feels more substantial if you are very hungry in the first few days of keto

Brandon H.
Love this stuff

I love Keto Chow. I wasn’t fond of the root beer but thought I would try it to give it a chance. It really does taste like root beer. Peanut Butter is my favorite. I add a little bit of coffee concentrate to my mocha Keto Chow. I am not doing a keto diet but like the flavors and options of adding my own amount of fats.

Jennifer S.
Keto Chow Yumminess!

I was looking for an on the go keto shake and I saw the Keto Chow starter bundle and wanted to try it. I liked that it takes into account flexible options for fat macros (I often fall short on those). I am loving all of the options and definitely agree with your recommendations that butter brings out the best flavor! So far my favorites are salted caramel and cookies and cream. I will be buying more soon!

Kat
Perfect for quick meals

I tried the Sample packs before deciding which flavor I liked best, watched the videos to learn the easiest way to mix and used the calculator to determine the fat levels to add. Simple and quick, I can now make a weeks worth of meals for two in less than 30 minutes. Thanks!

DeLanna B.
Snickerdoodle love!

Of all the flavors i have tried, Snickerdoodle takes the literal cake!!!! Very few flavors i dont like anyway. Keto chow is awesome!

Lars C.
A Meal Replacement Shake That Doesn’t Taste Like Wet Cardboard!

I have tried a ton of meal replacement shakes across the board and this is the first time I have actually enjoyed drinking one! Out of the dozens of flavors, I have only found 2-3 I haven’t really liked. But overall, they all taste good and are very versatile to use in recipes. I am a KetoChow user for life now.

Chelsea H.
Much better than expected!

I wanted to make sure we tried multiple flavors before reviewing. These are much better than any other meal replacement or “keto product” I have tried so far. Chocolate was our personal favorite, my husband swears it tastes like Ovaltine. My least favorite was salted caramel. It didn’t taste nasty. I thought it tasted just like a caramel candy which I also don’t like. Lol.

Other than taste, I felt more energetic after drinking the shake each day. They were drank in place of breakfast or coffee each morning between 5-530am. Normally if I don’t have anything in hungry by 6am. If I have coffee I’m good until 9:30. Half a shake (sharing with husband) would have me good until 10:30-11am and I drank most of the strawberry (he doesn’t like anything strawberry) and I skipped lunch that day too.

We will definitely be purchasing more. This will be great to use on those busy days we just don’t want to cook. Those are the days we usually ruin everything and Order pizza. I originally lost over 80lbs on Keto and put almost 30 back during the Covid-19 shutdown trying to live off canned, frozen and boxed food to stay away from the store longer. These will definitely help me get back to it. Thanks!

Jessica S.
SO YUMMY!

I LOVED the taste of every single one I got. My favorites, though, were Raspberry Cheesecake and Snickerdoodle. I would love to order these all the time because not only did they help my sweet tooth, I noticed that I was retaining less water and lost a couple of pounds while drinking them.

Cassandara D.
Keto Chow Bulk Packs

I now have ordered 5 different flavors of the Keto Chow bulk 21 packs and love them all. Each time I tried one I would think “Oh this one is my favorite!!” I had been in a stall for 9 week’s…that’s right 9 weeks! After a week of drinking these shakes , two a day and a keto dinner I have lost 5 lbs! I’m amazed and pleased. Thank you Keto Chow.

Patricia B.
So Good

I have had 3 flavors so far and to me it is like a milkshake. I use a teaspoon of coconut oil as my fat. The caramel was amazing. If you take a sip, you are going to want to chug it. Yum. Seriously tasty.

Alyssa B.
3 days

After 3 days (chocolate, pb chocolate, lemon meringue) I have really enjoyed the shakes. I’m very picky about “protein shakes” but these have been delicious! I only wish the Lemon came in a bulk size bag!

Heather B.
New Fan

Taste is wonderful. With being post gadtric-bypass 15 yrs and still not able to eat large quantities, it’s nice to have something so tasty & satisfying that isn’t a gigantic plate full of food. Love having this to break my fasting window.

?? Sample size of Chocolate Peanut Butter now available

Chocolate Peanut Butter sample after testing

Been wanting to try Chocolate Peanut Butter Keto Chow but didn’t want to get a full 21-meal package? Today you can order the sample size! Note that the packaging is quite different: it may LOOK like a protein bar, it’s not =)

I honestly didn’t think this day would ever arrive. The last time we had samples of Chocolate Peanut Butter was version 2.0.0 (nearly 2 years ago) because the fat in the peanut flour would clog the packaging machine. The key to ultimate success was going BACK to the same style packaging we used so long ago but abandoned for the more “looks like a packet of protein powder” style we currently use. One of the reasons we switched to the other style packaging for the rest of the flavors is that this style causes a lot of confusion – people think it’s a protein bar and we will be getting that question again. I’ll take fielding those questions over the “why don’t you have Chocolate Peanut Butter samples?!!” questions we have gotten daily for the last 2 years (which is understandable – since it’s amazing!).

We will not be putting these into any of the bundles for a few months. This was done as a small run “proof of concept” to see if it would work (one of a half dozen such tests that were unsuccessful, until this one!) and we don’t have enough of them to put into the bundles. A larger quantity is in process but will take several months to arrive. I expect we will have sufficient quantity to put into the bundles by August or September 2020. Until then, they are available for purchase separately.
