  • 1/2 ripe avocado (about 2 oz)
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup loosely packed flat leaf parsley
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 coin sized fresh ginger, crushed (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix the keto chow with 12 ounces of water and chill for at least thirty minutes, preferably overnight.
  • To make the smoothie blend the chilled keto chow with the avocado, coconut cream, flat leaf parsley, lime juice, and ginger in a blender and blend until smooth.

Vanilla Cream Tarts with Fresh Berries

Vanilla Cream Tarts with Fresh Berries

Vanilla tart shells filled with pastry cream and topped with fresh berries are a beautiful springtime dessert. Decorate with edible flowers and fresh mint leaves for a special touch.

Equipment

  • Mini tart pans, fine mesh sieve

Ingredients

TART SHELLS

PASTY CREAM

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract or half a vanilla bean
  • 2 cups heavy cream, divided
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated allulose (2 ounces)
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla Keto Chow

TO ASSEMBLE

  • 2 pints fresh berries like raspberries, blackberries, blueberries & strawberries washed & dried
  • small edible flowers such as pansies or nasturtiums
  • fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  • To make the tart shells, preheat the oven to 325℉ and oil six mini tart pans.
  • Mix the Keto Chow, almond flour, and erythritol together in a bowl.
  • Stir in the melted butter until all the dry ingredients are coated.
  • Add the egg white and vanilla extract and stir until it comes together into a soft dough.
  • Separate into 6 equal pieces and press into the oiled tart pans.
  • If the dough is very soft or it is very warm in the kitchen, chill the prepared tart shells for 10-20 minutes before baking.
  • Prick the bottom of each shell with a fork in two or three places to allow steam to release while baking.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes, until brown and firm to the touch. The bottoms should be lightly browned when removed from the tart pan. If they seem too soft to remove from the pans place them back in the oven for another minute or two until they feel firmer.
  • Place on a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • To make the pastry cream, split the vanilla bean with a small knife and scrape the seeds from inside the pod.
  • Place the pod and the seeds in a small saucepan with one cup of heavy cream.
  • Heat the cream over medium heat until it comes to a low simmer.
  • While the cream heats, whisk the egg yolks with the allulose in a separate bowl until light and frothy.
  • When the cream is beginning to simmer, stir about 1/4 cup of it into the beaten egg yolks, then stir the mix back into the pan of cream.
  • Stir over low heat until it begins to thicken. It is ready when it coats the back of a spoon and holds a stripe when a finger is run through it.
  • Strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl and whisk in the 2 tablespoons Keto Chow, being sure to mix well
  • Refrigerate the cream until well chilled.
  • Whip the remaining cup of heavy cream to soft peaks and fold it into the chilled pastry cream.
  • When ready to serve, fill the cooled tart shells with the prepared pastry cream and arrange the berries on top. Decorate with the flowers and mint leaves.
  • These tarts are best served within a couple hours of assembling. However, the components can be made ahead and stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to three days.

? Flavor of the week: Get 10% off Vanilla Keto Chow bulk packs Nov 9-15

Until Nov 15 you can get 10% off the 21 meal “week” size of the Vanilla Keto Chow. Normally, the Vanilla is $70 for 21 meals, this week it’s discounted down to $63.00 – that’s only $3.00 a meal!

Vanilla is a really versatile flavor and lends itself to all kinds of hacking and tomfoolery =) Some time ago, in a thread in the KetoChow subreddit, we had a bit of awesomeness from MrCharismatist about Vanilla:

What’ll really blow your mind is that all you need is Vanilla and some bottles of Torani sugar free syrup.

Vanilla + Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough syrup is fantastic.

Vanilla + Orange tastes strangely like Froot Loops in a good way.

Vanilla + Red Raspberry is dead on “Red Snow Cone”.

As to Chicken Soup, there’s no need to overthink it and boil water in a kettle to a certain temp. As long as it’s still warm after you put cream or butter in it, it’s fine. My kitchen sink is shockingly hot and I just use it straight.

I’ve got six weeks of chocolate, sevenish of chicken Soup left. When I reorder it’s going to be all Vanilla and Chicken Soup.

To which LavernicaDeLuca replied:

Absolutely agree with the vanilla is all you need. It’s an amazing base for adding flavors. I love adding peanut butter to vanilla, it’s a dream come true for a peanut butter fanatic like me, I just use PB as the oil, it’s amazing. And of course, vanilla is great on its own too. It’s definitely my favorite KC.

There’s also this entire thread just about Vanilla Keto Chow and how versatile it is, give it a read.

We sometimes get asked: “what can I do with Keto Chow besides make shakes?” The best place to start is our Keto Chow Recipes page, here are some of the recipes that use Vanilla Keto Chow:

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • With an electric or stand mixer on high speed, beat egg whites to soft peaks and then add vanilla. Continue beating to stiff peaks.
  • Add in the confectioners sweetener and keto chow and then fold mixture with spoon or rubber spatula until it’s nice and creamy. It will limp together at first, just keep stirring. It will reduce down a lot by folding which is ok.
  • Add to piping bag and pipe circles onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Allow cookies to cool for at least 30 minutes. They will harden as they cool.

Higher Altitude Instructions:

  • With an electric or stand mixer with whisk attachment on high speed, beat egg whites to soft peaks and then add vanilla. Continue beating to stiff peaks.
  • While the mixer is still whipping on high, add in the confectioners sweetener a little bit at a time and mix thoroughly between additions. Using the same method, add keto chow a bit at a time. The mixture will reduce down some, but let it keep whipping on high until fully mixed. Make sure to continue whipping while adding sweetener and keto chow. Only stop to scrape the sides once or twice.
  • Add to a piping bag and pipe circles onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cookies should be golden brown and puffed.
  • For a crisper cookie, lightly oil a foil lined cookie sheet and pipe cookies onto the foil.

OMGOSH!!! Best shakes I’ve tried — and I’ve tried MANY!!!

Most protein/keto shakes or replacements have an aftertaste or chalky texture. I had seen nothing but good reviews on Keto Chow so decided to give them a try!!

I am SO glad I did — these are creamy, delicious & very filling! I highly recommend!!!

Erin G.
I picked up keto chow on the recommendation of a friend. Mixed with some heavy cream, this stuff makes a thick creamy delicious shake. Also, with the heavy cream, this has been my easiest transition into ketosis. Normally it’s a tremendous struggle. Love this stuff.
Scott S.
Pleasantly Surprised!

I ordered these skeptical since most protein shakes leave me with stomach aches. These did not. I have to admit that the salted caramel was my favorite flavor so far and it tasted amazing warm too! I definitely think I found my go-to for shakes.

Ashley B.
Eggnog is BOMB

I’ve tried a few different flavors and the EGGNOG is what I’ve been searching for. It’s deliciously sweet without being too much. I also made the crepes using the eggnog flavor and they were amazing. Exactly what I needed to keep going with keto.

Gina D.
taste test

Very good flavor and texture with heavy cream . Other fats are not as yummy. I would like to see more use of the monk fruit or stevia. Good flavor variety and more flavors like blueberry would be very nice.

Janet M.
Love them all

I’m loving them all and finding different ways to mix them up. I’ve lost 4.2 lbs in 4 days ??❤️

Dona B.
Soooooo good…

Being the sceptical person that I am, after reading rave reviews, I decided to just try the sample pack. Even though I’m not keen on all the flavors offered, I was blown away by just how delicious they ALL are. Really creamy & smooth. No grittiness or bad aftertaste. I have since ordered 4 full size packages.

Susie P.
Tastes Great, More Filling

I got my first order Keto Chow for Christmas (I got the hint) and loved it. Made the mistake of seeking out a less expensive alternative from Costco, it tasted awful and did not feel like a meal replacement. Left me feeling hungry. I promptly ordered 3 more bags of Keto-Chow! Also their customer service is great, had a minor issue and they went above and beyond to fix the issue!

Dustin M.
Best Plateau Breaker Ever

Oh man oh man. Where to begin?! This is my mini miracle find. First off, AMAZING FLAVORS!!! I have recommended Keto Chow to everyone! My fiance is trying it soon too! It helped me FINALLY break my plateau weight! I have been calorie counting for months! Fantastic practice for me, eat whatever I want in better moderation, but I lost 20 lbs and couldn’t lose any more. No matter what I did. Then I found this and thought, why not. I can try it for $30 (beginner sample bag). LOVED EVERY FLAVOR. I nearly panicked realizing my 10 flavor sample may not be to my house in time to continue one a day. Then it came at 6:00 PM (shout out to the mail carrier heroes!) and I ripped it open, made my meal, and drank it after chilling it for an hour. I immediately ordered a 21 meal bag of chocolate (the first flavor I tried in the original) and plan to buy so many more flavors once my fiance picks some she likes.

I am so happy with Keto Chow. I am a little hesitant to try the soups… but I will come around I think. I can not stop recommending this product enough. Even at the sample size level, buying just 1 of them, shipping it, and trying it with the fat of your choice (I use butter or cream) costs less than some of the fast food meals can be but you feel better doing the Keto Chow. I have been having one Keto Chow meal a day for about 2 and a half weeks, I have lost 5 lbs, no longer feel addicted to sugars (that’s a miracle as well honestly) and I look forward to seeing how much more I can lost with Keto Chow. It is fast and easy and honestly my favorite meal I can make in less than a minute.

If you are on the fence. Give it a try and just get a few samples you really think will taste good (pssst, they all do). WORSE case scenario, you end up consuming more nutrients in a 20 oz shake than you would have gotten in 3 of your fast food meals, AND you saved more money. Really, if you want to jump into Ketosis, give Keto Chow a try! IT IS AMAZING!!

Andrew M.
Hard to pick a favorite!

Ordered a bunch of single flavors and blender bottles. Texture is great, I like the flexibility of controlling the fat based on my diet goals. A nice substitution and break from cooking for one meal a day.

Deb L.
Awesome!

I was recommended to try Keto Chow and so I did. I ordered the starter pack and the Pumpkin Spice Caramel along with the Chocolate Peanut Butter. By far the best Keto shake we have had! The pumpkin spice caramel taste just like the name and my husband absolutely loves the chocolate peanut butter. We can’t wait to try the rest!

Tara H.
Best flavor yet.

I admit when it comes to anything with pumpkin spice and or caramel flavor I am always a bit apprehensive. But I have to say that the pumpkin spice caramel flavor from you guys is nothing less than simply outstanding. That is good stuff. The fact that from when I ordered to the time I received was actually one day less than when I previously ordered from keto Chow direct is even better and of course the website speaks for itself because of how thoroughly simple it is to understand how to make the drinks the best they can be.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • To make brown butter, melt your butter over low heat and cook it gently until it begins to brown and smell toasted. Be careful once it starts to toast and brown; it can burn quickly. (1-2 sticks can take as long as 20 minutes on low to brown.) It will be very hot. Set it aside to cool for at least 15 minutes.
  • When your butter is ready, mix it with heavy cream, Keto Chow, apple pie spice, vanilla extract, apple extract, and water in a blender.
  • Chill overnight.
  • When you are ready to serve, put the prepared Keto Chow back in the blender with the cup of ice and blend.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of apple pie spice if desired.

Notes

If you already have brown butter, preparation time is 5 min with an overnight rest.
