Flavor of the Week Dec 17-23: 10% off sale on Natural Strawberry 2.1 week packs

For the next week, you can get 10% off the 21 meal “week” size of Natural Strawberry 2.1. We introduced the Natural Strawberry as a way to test out using monk fruit as a sweetener instead of sucralose. Occasionally we’ll get someone that likes the concept of Keto Chow but personally is avoiding certain sweeteners – this gives them the option of doing so. Monk Fruit does not taste the same as sucralose though; it’s far better than stevia in the taste testing we did, but it does only work with certain flavors and strawberry was a good fit. Check out the flavor reviews of 2.1 Natural Strawberry!

Speaking of reviews, you should check out our store reviews on Google, and the reviews of Keto Chow. Here’s a “taste”:

Great product! It is much easier to focus on tracking your total calories rather than painstakingly tracking macro and micronutrients. Keto Chow makes it easy to be a keto vegetarian by allowing you to ensure you’re receiving full protein and nutrient levels. The flavors that I have tried are phenomenal and I cannot wait to try more.

Here’s another review, it should be noted that I publish all of the reviews that come in – bad or good – as they are, typos intact. The only ones I remove are spam posts from people wanting you to buy pills to “enhance performance” and such.

Salted Caramel- Caramel full flavor with a hint of the salt giving it that Salted Carmel smooth flavor taste.

Cookies & Cream- This one taste like cookies and crème but it was not my favorite. My kids liked it, I so did not. The flavor and texture just didn’t seem to work for me. It has the traditional flavor of cookies and cream I just cant decide what it lacks as its not my favor flavor.

Banana- This is very much the rich taste of ripe bananas. If you don’t like bananas you won’t like this … luckily we did and it was a hit.

Mocha- This is super Yummy. I add heavy cream, water and iced plain coffee to mine and it make it even yummer.

Pumpkin Spice Caramel- This is a great treat. I was worried it be too strong like many Pumpkin Spice drinks can be and I was very surprised. It smooth, and flavorful but not over powering. The caramel mellows out the spice taste and make it a perfect balance of flavor. Also good with Coffee in it

Eggnog – Hands down my favorite!!!!!!!! I cannot tell you how perfect this taste to Egg Nog. I can’t have real Egg Nog and this is now my fav for the holidays and non-holidays (cause who needs the holidays to enjoy Egg Nog that’s this good. It smooth, taste just like Christmas egg nog with the egg nog flavor and hint of spice.

Snickerdoodle- For those that are fans of Snickerdoodle this drink compares quite well to the favor. Its smooth and rich full flavor make you think your eating Snickerdoodles.

Raspberry Cheesecake- This was good. I found it need a little more shaking it seemed then the others but its flavor is worth it. It taste like Raspberry with the cream cheese cake favor. I was impressed with just how close to the cheesecake raspberry favor it is.

Rootbeer Float- I am not a huge Rootbeer fan but my kids though this was epic and it became a battle of how many cups I could split this between. We will defiantly be buying more of this.

Savory Chicken Soup- The savory selection is a epic edition to this collection. I struggle with drink meals as it always feels like I am lacking real food. The chicken soup is perfect for the feel of a true meal. This taste like Chicken soup I had as a kid and is great on cold nights when you want a hot soup for dinner instead of a cold shake.

Natural Strawberry- I was impressed with this one as it really tasted like strawberry’s. I mean most strawberry flavored anything taste horrible and you get an artificial taste, This one taste like REAL strawberry.

Chocolate Mint- You know those mint cooks we try to mad dash and buy each year, well yup they hit it on the head that mint flavor is sitting right here in this drink. It’s a perfect chocolate drink flavor with that mint that you expect from the elegant cookies.

Chocolate Toffee- This one was ok. If you like Toffee this is a decent one to try.

Orange Cream- Ok who remembers orange creamcile flavor as a kid! Can we just say this is amazing? Like an orange two tone pop in a drink. I feel like I am drinking dessert not a meal it’s awesome.

Speaking of reviews, you should check out our store reviews on Google, and the reviews of Keto Chow. Here’s a “taste”:

Keto Chow never disappoints. Orders are well packed, accurate, arrive fast and are delicious and easy to use. I love Keto Chow and I highly recommend it.

Here’s another review, it should be noted that I publish all of the reviews that come in – bad or good – as they are, typos intact. The only ones I remove are spam posts from people wanting you to buy pills to “enhance performance” and such. Here’s one of the few bad reviews we’ve ever received:

The product tastes good (eggnog) & is very filling I could only drink half at a time) but I was disappointed to learn that it contains sucralose as the sweetener, & not stevia, monk fruit or erythritrol.

Some people don’t like Sucralose (for a variety of reasons). Then again, some don’t like Stevia. I even had someone contact me that was particularly vocal about how bad they thought Erythritol is. The reason we use Sucralose in the majority of our flavors is covered on our FAQ: Why use a “chemical” sweetener like sucralose? why not stevia, monk fruit, or erythritol? Here’s what we say in that post:

That’s a very good question. The short answer is: because stevia doesn’t taste very good to the overwhelming majority of our taste testers. We do have a version of strawberry (“Natural Strawberry”) that does indeed use monk fruit instead of sucralose. It costs more to produce and doesn’t taste as good (in my opinion). We also have the Base Powder version which you combine with your choice of flavored/sweetened protein powder – lets you use whatever you’d like. Besides all that, stevia isn’t magical and causes the same reactions in humans as anything else that’s sweet so why not use the best tasting option?

Allow me to quote Julie from the Sofa King Keto facebook group – she illustrates why we use sucralose really well:

Holy what the hell. Go buy Keto Chow. It is NO joke. I am not a packaged foods kinda gal but needed something to get me back on the Keto track. I was thinking, honestly, “ok, I can choke this down for a couple weeks.” Um. NOT EVEN CLOSE. This shiz is delicious!!! And easy to make! Holy wow!
I bought both the peanut butter chocolate and the raspberry cheesecake. I blended 1/2 c heavy cream and 1/2 cup coconut milk with ice with a scoop of chow. Thick like a milkshake. No weird malt “slim fast” taste.

(Chris here) I personally use Keto Chow for at least 2 meals a day, often 3. I don’t want something that I have to suffer through, I want something so delectable that I’m sad when I run out. I want it to taste so good that I swish it around in my mouth, enjoying the flavor; not plugging my nose and chugging it as fast as possible. And I won’t sell something that’s gross or barely tolerable. It’s gotta be delightful and that’s what you get with sucralose: the best flavor possible. A meal replacement that doesn’t taste AMAZING isn’t helpful in its intended use.

What about the rat studies showing changes in gut bacteria when exposed to sucralose? Humans are not rats. Those rats weren’t consuming acacia gum. Those rats weren’t on a ketogenic diet. Even more important is the DOSE that was being given to the rats. The dosage is usually expressed in mg/Kg or how many milligrams of sucralose were given per Kilogram of body weight. In the US, it was estimated (top of page 3) that most people consume 98mg of sucralose per day resulting in a dose of 1.6mg/Kg. In a recent study to determine the effects of sucralose, the rats were given an average of 80.4 mg/kg. Let’s see how that compares to what you would get by consuming Keto Chow:

The Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) level for sucralose was set at 5 mg/kg body weight per day (mg/kg/d) (page 10) in the US and 15 mg/kg/d in the EU. So you’d only even be close to that using Keto Chow if you do it 3x a day and weigh 100lbs/45kg.

I have usd Keto Chow since June and have had great results. Every flavor I’ve tried is very tasty. The product ships super fast, and they have great customer service. Highly recommend!

Here’s another review, it should be noted that I publish all of the reviews that come in – bad or good – as they are, typos intact. The only ones I remove are spam posts from people wanting you to buy pills to “enhance performance” and such. This review actually comes from the /r/ketochow subreddit:

This is what 190 lbs of weight loss looks like. Thank you Chris and the whole Keto Chow team.

I’m certain that I’ve lost a few bags over the year, but that’s most of them. I have an additional ~dozen or so partially-eaten bags which I’ll continue to eat over the next few months.

My father and I started Keto Chow around March of this year. I’m on 2-3 shakes per day, he’s on one per day. I’ve lost ~110 lbs, and he’s lost ~80 lbs.

Thank you so much to Chris and the entire Keto Chow team over there in Utah. You’ve really changed both of our lives and I’ve converted a few other Atlantans to Keto Chow.

For the next week, you can get 10% off the 21 meal “week” size of Root Beer Float 2.1. Really the only thing missing is the very slight hint of carbonation that’s left over after adding ice cream to root beer, other than that, it’s awfully close! Check out the flavor reviews of 2.1 Root Beer Float! Or even better, see what people are saying about it on Reddit: Here and Here

I admit I was kinda skeptical. I’m not one for “fake” flavors, especially banana. But I gotta tell you all of the flavors I have tried have been amazing! It did take me a minute to get the ratios right but once I did Wowza!

Flavor of the Week Nov 5-Nov 11: 10% off sale on Vanilla 2.1 week packs

Let’s try this again, with the right dates this time. For the next week, you can get 10% off the 21 meal “week” size of Vanilla 2.1. Vanilla is a really versatile flavor and lends itself to all kinds of hacking and tomfoolery =) A month ago, in a thread in the KetoChow subreddit We had a bit of awesomeness from MrCharismatist about Vanilla:

What’ll really blow your mind is that all you need is Vanilla and some bottles of Torani sugar free syrup.

Vanilla + Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough syrup is fantastic.

Vanilla + Orange tastes strangely like Froot Loops in a good way.

Vanilla + Red Raspberry is dead on “Red Snow Cone”.

As to Chicken Soup, there’s no need to overthink it and boil water in a kettle to a certain temp. As long as it’s still warm after you put cream or butter in it, it’s fine. My kitchen sink is shockingly hot and I just use it straight.

I’ve got six weeks of chocolate, sevenish of chicken Soup left. When I reorder it’s going to be all Vanilla and Chicken Soup.

To which LavernicaDeLuca replied:

Absolutely agree with the vanilla is all you need. It’s an amazing base for adding flavors. I love adding peanut butter to vanilla, it’s a dream come true for a peanut butter fanatic like me, I just use PB as the oil, it’s amazing. And of course, vanilla is great on its own too. It’s definitely my favorite KC.

There’s also this entire thread just about Vanilla Keto Chow and how versatile it is, give it a read. There’s even more fun, check out the flavor reviews of 2.1 Vanilla!

Speaking of reviews, you should check out our store reviews on Google, and the reviews of Keto Chow. Here’s a “taste”:

I will admit, my expectations for these shakes regarding flavor want that high. I’ve used lots of shakes pre-keto and most were pretty awful. When I took my first ship of Raspberry Cheesecake this morning I quickly grabbed the package to make sure it was the right thing. It was so good! I can’t wait to tri the other flavors! Plus it kept me satiated for several hours. I’m so glad I found this!

These are SO yummy!!! Like eyes-rolling-back-in-your-head delicious!!! They take all the guess work out of keto meal planning and I LOVE it!!! They are so convenient for a work day and VERY filling!! I will DEFINITELY be ordering more!! Thanks KetoChow!!!

When I was researching protein powders and stuff after I decided to start the keto diet I fortunately stumbled across keto Chow. This stuff tastes great unlike a lot of other products and is nutritionally balanced for someone on a keto diet. In addition it’s not just a hundred calorie protein powder but a full meal replacement which is unusual.their custom nutrition calculator makes it super easy for me to meet my macro and caloric goals each day and the product itself taste amazing extremely smooth the longer you let it refrigerate before you drink and reminds me of a rich melted ice cream. I would recommend it to anyone on the keto diet and to anyone in general who’s looking for a great tasting meal replacement.

Update on Sample Availability: Orange, Mint, Toffee, and Peanut Butter, in particular – Late November

Yes, that’s a sad panda. The Chocolate Peanut Butter samples are still having severe issues with packaging. The packaging company tried for a 4th time to get it to run late last week and was again unsuccessful. At this point, I’m actually looking into going back to the old “stick pack” packaging just to get Peanut Butter working.

As for the other flavors: many of them we have a good number in stock, and some we’ve even received our second order so we have super awesome inventory levels. But a number are getting low and we’ve earmarked the remaining amounts to go into the variety bundles until they run out. The following are out of stock in the individual sample size and will, in the coming month, probably be removed from the samplers too (with the price lowered accordingly):

  • Orange Cream
  • Rootbeer Float we ended up getting some of this out of the blue
  • Chocolate Mint
  • Chocolate Toffee
  • Chocolate Peanut Butter

All are in-stock and available in the larger 21 meal packages, just not the samples.

The mixed powder is over at the packaging place, but got there a day late to be packaged along with the other batch. We are on the schedule to have it packaged sometime in late November. That said, they’ve done a really good job of fitting us in and getting it done early. Until then, I expect I’ll have this page saved to my frequently used response templates so I can easily communicate when we are expecting to get them in stock.

Flavor of the Week Oct 22-Oct 28: 10% off sale on Chocolate 2.1 week packs

OK folks, I know you’ve been waiting for this day – and now it’s here! This is the first time we’ve done a sale on 2.1 Chocolate – the last sale was in January on the 2.0 version. For the next week, you can get 10% off the 21 meal “week” size of Chocolate 2.1. Check out the flavor reviews of 2.1 Chocolate!

Speaking of reviews, you should check out our store reviews on Google, and the reviews of Keto Chow. Here’s a “taste”:

Here’s another review, it should be noted that I publish all of the reviews that come in – bad or good – as they are, typos intact. The only ones I remove are spam posts from people wanting you to buy pills to “enhance performance” and such. I should also mention that someone posted a negative review last week and later asked me to take it down after they changed their mind.

I am new to Keto and was searching for some type of meal replacement drink. I’m not a big breakfast person. I absolutely love Keto Chow. I’ve tried several flavors…banana, strawberry, orange, snickerdoodle…they are all great! I love the texture of the shake. It tastes like melted ice cream. It’s yummy and I don’t miss the protein shakes I used to drink before Keto. I have also found that Keto Chow works great as a recovery drink after long runs.

We also got this tip from Sheila G.

I have been using your flavorful product for about 6 months. I love it!! (just wish I could lose weight)
I do not mix the drink the way you suggested the last couple of months, and I feel more people would like to hear of my method.
I measure all on a weight scale. First goes in the water (15-16 oz), then the powder (1.5oz), I then mix that with a whisk for a completely lump free drink. Then I add 4 oz of whipping cream. It even stays mixed overnight!
I mix almost a gallon at a time….I don’t mess with individual servings!

Flavor of the Week Oct 15-Oct 21: 10% off sale on Cookies & Cream 2.1 week packs

I just checked, the last time we had Cookies and Cream on sale was September… 2017! This is the first time the new 2.1 version of Cookies and Cream has been on sale. For the next week, you can get 10% off the 21 meal “week” size of Cookies and Cream 2.1. Check out the flavor reviews of 2.1 Cookies and Cream!

Speaking of reviews, you should check out our store reviews on Google, and the reviews of Keto Chow. Here’s a “taste”:

I was sceptical in ordering this. Im not a shake person. They taste amazing. I have purchased large bags of cookies and cream, chocolate peanut butter, and vanilla. I like that you can purchase samples first to see if you like them. They taste really yummy and don’t trigger my sugar dragon. The shake keeps me full and I highly recommend them.

Here’s another review, it should be noted that I publish all of the reviews that come in – bad or good – as they are, typos intact. The only ones I remove are spam posts from people wanting you to buy pills to “enhance performance” and such. This review actually comes from the Keto Chow Facebook Page:

I love this stuff. I’ve replaced 2 meals a day with it & I fill in the gaps with shredded chicken, hard boiled eggs, quest cookies & veggies. I’ve lost 20lbs so far and the weight keeps falling off ? I love it. It tastes like an actual milkshake, not a nasty fake protein shake. I love the chocolate & the salted caramel & I ordered a bunch of other flavored trial packages to see if I want to expand my range ? excellent product for people trying to lose weight on the go, especially when you’re self employed & there’s no time for complicated food! Loyal customer over here ❤
