Why the 1/4th cup and 1 Tbsp of sugar?
The 1/4 Cup goes into the cookies. The 1 TBSP gets mixed with the cinnamon and you roll the cookie dough around in that mixture before cooking.
not sugar but sugar substitute
The amount of stick butter does not change when changing the number of servings. What’s the correct amount of butter?
You’ll have to either use grams or calculate it yourself.
Just made these. Did 1/2 batch (using 54g butter, no coconut oil), since I only had a sample packet of Snickerdoodle. Cooked in a toaster oven at 350 for 12m on bottom rack with just parchment paper (ie: no PAM). They came out looking like cookies and have a cookie crust on the bottom, but they are extremely air-y. You can taste the butter/eggs a bit. Any enhancements to this to dense-ify the cookie?
How many calories and net carbs are in each cookie?
The recipes that I make, I create a recipe in cron-o-meter and have the nutrition using the ingredients I find – that’s the big issue and the reason Amanda, Carrie Brown, and Taffiny don’t provide macros for their recipes: the ingredients you find *WILL* differ (sometimes greatly), they want people getting into the habit of working out the macros of the ingredients they have. Teach a person to fish and all that.
Round 2. This time used 50g of coconut oil to make 1/2 recipe. Cookies almost there but I think need to be a bit moister. Any alternatives to this recipe that others have tried? I also added 1/8tsp xanthum gum to try and make them chewier but I don’t think I mixed it thoroughly.
Made these today and they came out delicious! I used butter instead of coconut oil.
How many are a serving?
The recipe shows it makes 10 cookies, the nutrition information shows approximate values for each cookie.
When the recipe says 2 servings of Keto Chow for the cookies is that 2 scoops?
2 of the scoops or 2 of the sample packets – however you like to measure it.
I don’t know what happened but these are a mess. There was a layer of butter on the parchment paper and the cookies are completely spread out ?
Sorry that they didn’t work out for you! I hope some of our other recipes turn out better for you.
Made these and they were really good!!
