Keto Chow Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 serving Vanilla Keto Chow or any Keto Chow flavor of your choice
Whipped Cream
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbs powdered erythritol (Swerve)
Instructions
- First, melt the coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl. This is crucial: if the oil is not melted it will harden and make lumps in the batter. Combine with the remaining waffle ingredients until smooth.
- Heat a waffle iron to high heat. Spray with cooking spray and cook waffles until golden brown.
- Beat whipping cream and Swerve on high until stiff (2-3 minutes).
- Dress the waffle with your favorite low carb toppings (berries, calorie free syrup, bacon, chocolate chips, etc.). Enjoy!
- I used Lilly's chocolate chips and Hershey's sugar free chocolate syrup for my waffle; I highly recommend this combination!
I just tried this recipe with vanilla KC and while it was delicious it was very “Airy”. I felt 1 tsp of baking powder may be a little much. I will reduce the amount on my next batch, because there will be a next batch.!!!!
I tried this with the pumpkin spice and it was wonderful! Great recipe and great taste! I didn’t have coconut oil so I used butter instead and it still turned out just fine. Will make again on a weekend morning!
The carb count in the description seemed high so I calculated myself should be around 2.6g net.
Thanks for your comment! Ingredients will vary, and we’ve put what our calculation was.
I didn’t have any vanilla Keto Chow so I used S’mores flavor! VERY yummy!!! I topped it with a few slices of strawberries and homemade whipped cream – DELICIOUS! I’m going to guess that you could use lots of different Keto Chow flavors for this recipe to create a variety of tasty waffles! (And I don’t think the carb count that is listed above is correct, so don’t let that scare you away from this recipe…)
Barbara – You’re right you can make them with all different flavors. I just input the recipe ingredients back into chronometer and the numbers were a bit off so the count is correct now, thanks. We believe the serving works out to be about 3 regular “chaffle” size waffles, but it was one of our very first recipes and the creator doesn’t work for us any longer. How many did you end up with?
I just made these for the first time using the pumpkin spice caramel and they were amazing! I topped with butter and SF syrup. I can’t wait till breakfast tomorrow to try with a different flavor.
That’s awesome…I think anything with Pumpkin spice caramel is amazing, but for waffles, I love the snickerdoodle and strawberry (topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream) also!
Victoria – I made these tonight for dinner – exactly as stated in your recipe – my husband and I thought they were absolutely delicious! I can picture so many options with this recipe. Thank you so much for sharing. Looking forward to trying more of your recipes!!
Five Stars from us!
These are delicious!!! I used pistachio (which I think is just meh as a shake)….SO GOOD!!! Heavenly and sinful all at the same time. I will be making these again. Can’t wait to try other flavors!
