Chaffles are all the rage these days, and frankly: for good reason. They’re extremely easy to make, taste great, and really fill the need for waffles, buns, pizza crusts, and more. This super-simple, 3 ingredient recipe is something we’ve been cooking up around here and wanted to share with everyone. You can use any of the flavors of Keto Chow, here are some of our favorite uses:
- Use eggnog, chocolate, banana, or any of the other sweet flavors to make an amazing waffle. Throw on some whipped cream and you’re all set!
- Use the Creamy Tomato Basil Keto Chow to make pizza crusts
- Use the Savory Chicken Soup to make a bun/roll for burgers or a grilled cheese sandwich
- Use Spicy Taco Soup to make a soft taco shell

Equipment
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cups cheese we typically use mozzarella or Monterey jack
- 1 serving Keto Chow flavor of your choice whichever flavor you like!
Instructions
- Crack open and empty eggs into a bowl
- Add cheese.
- Add Keto Chow.
- Add other ingredients like chocolate chips if desired
- Mix to get the clumps out
- Put a small amount of the mixture into the waffle maker, this will take a bit of practice to get right but it's around 2 tablespoons. You're only filling it maybe halfway.
Can you use cream cheese instead of shredded cheese? And if so, how much? Thanks!!
Haven’t tried it with cream cheese.
Yes, you can use cream cheese. That’s my preference, actually. I use 2 oz per egg in most of my chaffle recipes.
How many waffles does this make in the mini maker?
I believe I put 18 for the quantity it makes in the recipe
I scaled this back to one egg, 1/2 cup of cheese, and a heaping tablespoon of powder (12 grams), and it turned out perfect. Very tasty. I used eggnog flavor, so I added a grating of fresh nutmeg too and ate them warm with some butter. Delish.
18????????????
yep, and we RARELY have any left over.
Can you freeze them, and if so, how long would they last?
Ours get eaten before they could possibly go bad, I think the oldest we have ever had was 2-3 weeks in the freezer.
I just tried the Choc PB Keto Chow using the above recipe in my chaffle maker. They were excellent! Then I added a little PB on the side for dipping! I do like the idea of using cream cheese instead of the mozzarella for the next batch for the sweet chaffles.
How many chaffles in a serving for the nutrition info above?
Servings: 18 mini waffles
Amount Per Serving (1 waffle)
I have made these more than once and the most I have gotten from recipe is 5 to 6…How in the world do you get 18??
Checking the recipe on the site it says that the recipe makes 9 chaffles, just make sure you don’t overfill the waffle iron or a bunch seeps out and it’s a huge mess!!
Tried it with cream cheese.! Thank You Beth for the measurements. Was delish.!!
For those allergic to eggs and dairy are there any substitutions for those Ingredients?
All 3 of the ingredients: Cheese, Eggs, Keto Chow – have either dairy or eggs. You would need a completely different recipe.
So how can this recipe be broken down for one person, one serving?
Thanks so much!!
You can either divide the ingredients, or make extra and freeze them.
I made one last night. Couldn’t find a mini waffle maker so I bought a Belgian waffle maker round and already made in quarters. The recipe i found said 2 eggs and 1 cup cheese. All others say 1 egg and 1/2 cup cheese. Anyways, my question is how many servings is in a Belgian waffle? 1, 2 or 4? (1=whole 2=half and 4=quarter). EVERYONE i asked said it was up to me. I know how much I eat is up to me, but I need to know the actual serving size. Thank you
Delicious! I made this recipe with Vanilla, for breakfast, 2 TBS for 3 minutes in mini Dash waffle maker is perfect. I put the remainder of the batter in the fridge, and just made more for lunch today — they turned out great (again)! Thanks!
What bowl did she say?
You can use any medium or large mixing bowl. :)
Love this but when I tried to do a bunch at one time (12 eggs, 3 servings chicken chow, 3 c mozz) I really had to add a good bit of water. Still really good!
Why does KC taste salty when heated?
I heat my chocolate KC every morning and do not notice a change in the saltiness of the flavor. Make sure you’re adding enough water and/or fat to your drink. I always mix up a blender bottle full and heat it up a cup at a time.
The recipe reads 3 eggs, 1 cup of cheese and 1 serving of KC. The video appeared to be a double batch but only 1 scoop of KC was used. Wouldn’t you double that too? Or was only 1 scoop used due to adding the cocoa and chocolate chips?
That’s a great question. We will check with Chris & Miriam and let you know for sure, but your guess is what I would assume as well.
These are delicious. However, I have tried twice and using 2 Tbsp batter yield 8, not 18. What am I doing wrong?
You are correct, it is more like 6-8. Thanks for catching that for us!!
I would like to know how many carbs per chaffle using the video recipe with the 6 eggs, 2 cups of cheese and (1) scoop Keto chow with the handful of chips?
Thanks
When I add all that to Cronometer the entire recipe comes up at 22.23g NET carbs. Not sure exactly how many chaffles that makes up, so you can simply divide that by how many you end up with. Thanks
